It is with great pleasure that I am able serve the Klein High Band as band director. I have been involved with the band since 1997; first as an assistant band director, and starting in 2008, as head director. Prior to coming to Klein High, I taught three years at Klein Intermediate School. From 1989 to 1994, I taught in Alice Texas, and in Louisiana from 1987 to 1988.
There are so many reasons why teaching music at Klein is a rewarding, and satisfying experience. Our students are second to none, demonstrating incredible ability and talent each and every day. Our wonderful parents support our program in a thousand different ways, while our outstanding staff spends countless hours, working with our students and preparing for performances. Finally, the administration and staff at Klein High, along with the KISD music administrators, help make our success possible.
My goal is to provide the best possible music education for the Klein Band students, in a rewarding, positive and fun setting. Band students at Klein High have many performance opportunities, both competitive, and non-competitive. I believe that the experiences that young people have while making music at a high level, can serve them well throughout life.
